TJ Steinebach
TJ Steinebach – Owner
TJ Steinebach was basically raised in the gym. His mother is a Black Belt in Isshin Ryu Karate, and she won a world title when TJ was still in Middle school. That’s in addition to her being ranked in the Top 1000 Globally for Female CrossFit Athletes, and playing Women’s Professional Football. She later won Tucson’s Model Magazines Woman of the Year for her work with children that were sexually trafficked and was also named Air National Guardsman of the Year. She resides in Arizona being a Grandmother and working towards retirement.
In Middle School, TJ started Boxing, Kickboxing and Wrestling (25 years+). This developed into him later earning three MMA titles (6-1 record). After his MMA career, TJ focused on Jiu Jitsu/Grappling. TJ was previously a state finalist wrestler and made the Arizona Daily Star’s First Team – All Southern Arizona’s Wrestling Team. His wrestling skills transferred to his grappling career. He has since made the USA Grappling Team 4x and has competed all over the world. TJ was a part of the first and second USA Grappling Team to win the UWW World Title (2022 & 2023). This is in addition to being a multiple time state champion and national champion. TJ was on the Professional Grappling League TV show, and he was a part of the first-place team for the show.
TJ has trained with, coached, and mentored many high-level athletes. He has been a part of some of the best camps and teams in the country. He has been coached and supported by some of the best in the world. Not to mention, he was the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame BJJ Athlete of the Year in 2023. However, TJ has said that “If it wasn’t for the gym and expanding my halo of influence to help more people, all of these awards would just be in a box somewhere just waiting for my grandkids to see in the distant future. People need proof that you can help them, and that starts with showing them that you can actually do it yourself. If you want to help people, then you need to lead so they can follow, and not many people appreciate what that means”.
TJ is both Safe Sport and Safety Care certified.
Holly Senecal
Holly Senecal – Kids Program Director, Assistant Women’s Team Coach
Holly currently has a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. She also has a 1000 hour certification from the BACB as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Holly is currently working towards her doctorate degree. For the last 15 years, she has specialized in working with non-verbal autistic children and supports their learning by helping them gain daily skills they need to sustain some kind of normal life. She applies her education and skillset towards programming the Kid’s Class Curriculum.
TJ and Holly have been working on developing the “Gentle Gemini” Program. This program provides philosophic, literal, and historical lessons about how to be a more noble modern-day warrior. The program intends to provide some history, some kind virtues, and some age contextual support to the kids learning about martial arts. After all there are not many things worse than a wasted mind, wasted tool, or a misused weapon. Martial Arts are supposed to support the children becoming better people and not the rather.
Holly took 3rd place as a white belt at IBJJF Worlds. She later competed for the USA Grappling Team in Spain. Holly was a part of the first ever USA Team to win the UWW World Grappling Championships Team title in 2022. Since then she has directed her attention to working on her career and supporting the gym.
Holly has an incredible story that will be released in the near future. She is the daughter to Doug Danger; who was the apprentice to Evel Knievel, and takes an aggressive approach towards supporting domestic violence victims. She currently supports women, children and other peers as the assistant women’s team coach at Gemini.
Holly is both Safe Sport and Safety Care certified.
Kyle Kublalsingh
Kyle Kublalsingh – Women’s Team Head Coach
Kyle has been the complementary addition to TJ at Gemini. It is very much a ketchup and mustard dynamic with TJ and Kyle. Where TJ is rough, Kyle is more than kind. Kyle has been described as the sundress at our gym because of the way he is able to softly support people in a combat dynamic. The caring way he has been able to support the flow of people in our gym has been bar none, world class. People pass over both TJ and Holly to train with Kyle. The level of care and attention that Kyle has been bragged about behind his back beyond what he knows, understands, or what TJ will admit to him. TJ talks about adding people to the team that have complimentary skill sets, and Kyle has shown up in spades for those that he is responsible for.
Kyle threw away his first gold metal because of a broken, brokered deal. He was catching and releasing submissions at the USA Grappling Team Trials, and that’s mainly because he agreed to jump into the trials with less than a week’s notice. Kyle has been one of TJ’s main training partners for the last several years mainly because he loves the art and loves helping others. Kyle won his first Fight to Win Pro match by submission, and that was fueled by nothing more than the love he has for the sport, and the fire from what he has experienced in his life.
Statement from TJ about Kyle: “Kyle loves to help people, and that’s probably why people love Kyle. As the owner of the gym, writing this, if you want a coach that cares about you as much as you care about you, while seeing him flow like a sundress that does no harm, then check out what Kyle has to offer. He is a coach who literally just cares. Kyle is the Women’s Team Coach because he has complimentary skills that I don’t have. However, because of that, we have benefitted from his investment in the gym. Kyle is probably one of the best coaches that you don’t know about or will ever hear about because of his egoless pursuit of excellence”
Kyle was formerly a paramedic for 9 years. He is Safety Care and Safe Sport Certified. When Kyle is not at the gym, he is spending his free time with his lovely wife. They are high school sweethearts and have been together for 16 years… Also, Kyle has been known to identify as Pedro the Racoon from time to time.
